Have you ever had a dream where you were so contently happy? Life was great. You had direction and a purpose. You looked forward to your challenges instead of running from them. And you were incredibly happy because the person you love loves you back.
Yeah I've had dreams like that too.
Then you wake up. Life's still hard. You wanna hide under your covers from the world's cruelness. Because we all know the world is not merciful. It likes to see us sad, doesn't it? It likes to make things hard, difficult, frustrating, confusing, I'm sure we could all go on.
And it will probably always be that way. But that's okay, because that's how this life is supposed to be. We at times are supposed to be sad and then happy, confused then enlightened, frustrated then content, and it's supposed to be sad and then happiness comes in whatever form it chooses. And the happiness is so wonderful that it overcomes all the sadness ever experienced.
Or at least, that is the happiness I dream of.
Wow! That turned out differently then planned, but I'm ok with that. I hope you guys like it too.
ReplyDeleteSo there were two songs that inspired this post.
"Chinese Soap Opera" and "The Walk" both by Elton Luz.
Here's his site: http://www.eltonluz.com/music.html
I hope the picture isn't too much, maybe I should take it off. Here is where I got the pic: http://z9.invisionfree.com/Inuyasha_and_Kagome/ar/t124.htm
Not saying you should go there, it's just citation.
Kudos for being the first to add your prose! I know that feeling, it's nice until reality sets in, at least that was my experience. I also might be thinking about it too literally. I thought the songs went really well with it as well, especially "The Walk." I'm so excited to see your future posts! I have a question for you, did you have trouble formatting it as you wanted? I didn't realize there might be an issue in the regard until just now...
ReplyDeleteThanks for reading it and for the great comments! You know, I decided to just wing it. I thought it would flow, not needing editing. However, I did have to go back and cut somethings and make it flow better. My favorite was when the ending came. It just went together and I was so happy it tied back to the beginning. I do feel it is mediocre but it took on a life of it's own so that's why it's the way it is. Did i answer your question?
ReplyDeleteYou most certainly did, you lovely fish you.
